Assayer 07-06-07, 07:40 AM Most are available online as well, but inventory is spotty. four of the six movies I want from this list are out of stock. . . Wow the site is slow.
donricouga 07-06-07, 08:51 AM Just to add to the thread.
Last week I bought 3 movies from the 2 for $25 deal at the store.
They are priced at $12.50 so you don't have to buy multiples of 2.

And, I'd just like to add that Best Buy will price match if you have the newspaper ad. Saved me a trip OTP. :D
AaronSCH 07-06-07, 11:44 AM If it wasn't foe Fry's Electronics, all my software purchases would be online. Unfortunately, I own all the sale titles now.
man I hate Fry's sometimes. I bought The Patriot yesterday on lunchbreak...
Course it was only 19.99, which is 1$ saved according to this thread. Almost not even worth the effort to go back and get it changed...
dalamchops 07-06-07, 12:14 PM Patriot is still 19.99 no additional sale according to the ad
jkcheng122 07-06-07, 12:45 PM Patriot is still 19.99 no additional sale according to the ad
third title listed at $18.99, not worth the trip/gas money.
jkcheng122 07-06-07, 12:48 PM The Untouchables
[B]$18.99
Blazing Saddles
$13.99
Hellboy
2 for $25
will probably pick those up. if two titles are required to get Hellboy for $12.50, i'm sure i can find something to add that i don't have already, probably memento or resident evil.
thanks for the info, and curse u for making me broke again.

Well it's directly on the path home from work :)
Which is hell I might add...

lol, still not worth the time to wait in line for customer service imo.
unless of course u'll be picking up some of the other titles listed.
Brad1963 07-06-07, 02:40 PM Just came back from Fry's and got Curse of the Golden Flower, Revenge: Dir Cut, Cruel Intentions, Memento. The titles are $12.50 each and you do not have to buy them in pairs get the deal.
I think I already bought most of them from the sale amazon had. Good deals though.
edvedder 07-06-07, 03:09 PM Just wanted to thank the OP for posting this.
Although i own most of the titles in this sale already i still may pick up into the blue, big fish and closer.
Not sure who posted about the sale they had last week but thanks to them i finally got training day and last samurai for 13 bucks
Keep the sales comming
Eric D. 07-06-07, 06:19 PM Man, almost all the ones I wanted are out of stock on their website. But thanks for the heads up Xylon!
Had already picked up the following at the last promo:
- Curse of the Golden Flower
- Donnie Brasco
- Layer Cake
- Seven Years in Tibet
I went to pick up:
Untouchables & Unforgiven today, but could not resist and also picked up Big Fish & Black Hawk Down, although I already own them in SD with my great SD upconvering Sammy. Too bad that Goodfellows BD was still at $19.99 whilst the very same HD-DVD version of this flick was $13.99. I tried to get the cashier to do a price match, but she didn't go for it ;) :D
SushiRiceMan 07-07-07, 04:15 PM Thanks for the heads up. My frys seemed to be fully stocked so I picked up:
The Patriot
Resident Evil
Cruel Intentions
Tears of the Sun
Layer Cake
all for just $70 Woo Hoo!
Thanks :)
dalamchops 07-07-07, 04:29 PM picked up untouchables, patriot, and unforgiven
TwinTurboZX 07-07-07, 07:06 PM Picked up Untouchables and Patriot. Fry's is the best with the best prices of all the B&Ms.
picked up untouchables, patriot, and unforgiven
is patriot, part of 2 for $25
is patriot, part of 2 for $25
No, it is not. Patriot is $18.99 down from $19.99, which is a lot better than prices at BB or CC. I believe that Amazon has Patriot at $19.99, but no sales tax.
jkcheng122 07-07-07, 10:37 PM is patriot, part of 2 for $25
no, it's 18.99/19.99 i believe.
anouther sale and 50$ spent got two for the 12$ but sadly the wife wanted ghost rider and i had to pay 28$ !!! rats
Arpeggi 07-08-07, 01:03 AM The Patriot will be in the next 2 for $25 sale. Guaranteed. That's why I'm holding off on buying it.
bunkaroo 07-08-07, 01:25 AM You know it's almost gotten to the point where I don't even want to buy Sony catalog titles on release day, because every other month it's 2/$20 or 2/$25. I just got Closer and COTGF for like $17 each.
I want Flatliners but it can wait.
Do you need a print ad for BB to match their prices? I tried to find a Frys print ad online, but I couldn't find anything listing DVDs (I seem to recall that frys.com used to have them for download, but now it just redirects to their outpost.com portal...)
Cane Dewey 07-08-07, 12:58 PM I printed out the Fry's ad and price-matched Unforgiven at CC.
I wish there was a Fry's on the east coast...

Yeah I cancelled all my preorders at Amazon for Sony catalog titles. They will be cheap just a few weeks after release (see Hellboy).
GizmoDVD 07-08-07, 02:28 PM The Patriot will be in the next 2 for $25 sale. Guaranteed. That's why I'm holding off on buying it.
Haha, so true. I am avoiding all Sony releases like the plague because of this reason. Hellboy and Cruel Intentions JUST came out.
I tried to find a Frys print ad online, but I couldn't find anything listing DVDs
FWIW, I finally found a printable ad by googling "Frys ad" and choosing the link to the San Jose Mercury News site. The full page images don't show up very well when printing, but you can click on the sections to zoom in for a more readable version of a single section...
modiGTI 07-09-07, 11:12 AM I stoped by Fry's yesterday, and figured I might as well pick up Curse of the Golden Flower. Good price, cheaper than the DVD....=p
