Delta Farce and Troy: DC for Blu-ray
Posted July 6, 2007 by Josh

Lionsgate Home Entertainment has revealed that they are bringing the Larry the Cable Guy military comedy 'Delta Farce' to Blu-ray on September 4th. A surprise move by Warner Brothers was also revealed, as they will be releasing 'Troy: Director's Cut' for Blu-ray on September 18th. This is a surprise because the theatrical version of Troy already exists on HD DVD.

Additionally, the dates for a few other upcoming titles were re-confirmed. As reported earlier: Remember the Titans on September 4th, Face/Off on September 11th, and The Condemned on September 18th. Look for specs to follow soon for all titles, if not already announced.

Smart... an attempt to get previos HD-DVD owners to double dip for their new BD player.

That would be funny, but HD DVD is getting the directors cut too.

The majority of the time it does.
Now, we need to hear about Batman Begins, V for Vendetta and Matrix.
Then i won't have to buy an hddvd player :D

hd-dvd might see this release as well since it's director's cut, the first version on hd-dvd was theatrical.

anyone know what the director's cut includes? tho i prob dont remember the movie well enough to notice any diff.

I know that. I'm saying it doesn't matter if theres a similar thread and that the OP can start a new one if he wants to.

well i think here the rule is we want to consolidate similar threads to 1 thread as much as possible, otherwise every other thread on the main page will have the word blockbuster in it.

Not trying to be rude, but double threads are just going to happen. There's no stopping it, it can't be stopped. Whining about it in the thread won't solve the problem. The whining is more annoying than the double threads. Stop whining!

Not to mention that i just read the other Troy thread, and it had turned into another "Beatboy Bash" from the usual suspects of people apparently personally affronted by his posts. The other thread stopped being about the movie about halfway down the first page....

These theads are becoming more and more about people taking shots at one another. Where's the love?

Anyway, I'm excited about Troy. I don't give a rat's fat butt that it has already been released on HD-DVD. To me, it just means that I finally have another BluRay movie that is worth buying.

I think some people are just plain out rude.
