I have the PS3 connected to the VP50 and I turned video conversion off on the PS3. Are you better off leaving it on so the PS3 will upconvert DVDs to 1080p and have the video processor clean up PS3's upconversion, or is it better to have the processor take the signal from the beginning?

I have the same setup, I paid for my VP50 to do video conversion so that's what I let it do. 480p into the VP50 and I let it upscale the image and take care of the 3:2 inverse telecine pulldown.

If you really want to know what to do, try it both ways and choose the method that looks the best on your TV, at the end of the day, that's what counts.
