I bought the Pronto TSU3500 for my father-in-law after reading some forums indicating what I thought was the ability to control the Bose Lifestyle 38 system using the 3500's RF ability. I cannot figure out how to do this and the 3500's manual indicates the RF ability is only usable with the extender. I thought I read a post somewhere that explained how to configure the remote to work with the 38 without the extender. Can someone either explain (in detail) how to go about doing this (as I am fairly inexperienced with the 3500) or point me to a site/thread/post that explains how to do it?

Thanks in advance

I believe there is a setting within the Blose to change the setting to IR. The Philips Pronto's RF ability is only to communicate with their RF receiver.

Don't give up. I have been battling with my 3500 over the Outlaw Audio codes. I am finally seeing the light of day. Go to remotecentral.com. There is a wealth of information there along with the codes you may need.
