I'm going to replace my receiver, I only use it to watch HDDVD and Blue Ray movies with. I want a receiver that has HDMI, right now I have a 5.1 setup, but someday I'll go with a 7.1. The Pioneer and the Yamaha are the ones that I'm thinking of going with, out of these two what one is the better receiver, their both around the same price. And what should I look for in a new receiver, I hooking it up to a PS3 and a Toshiba HD-XA1, my speakers are Athena's, but the rear ceiling speakers are Speakercraft AIM 8's.
