After a "brown out" in NYC last week I tried to play a recorded show in "my shows" and it brought to the screen that says end of show.

When I click on the start over button it does nothing. So I tried the rest of my save and unwatched shows and it does the same thing, as soon as I hit play it beings me to the end of the show screen with the option to start over. I can hit the start over all day and it does nothing.

All the shows show as being there ,with the length time accurate.

Im afraid Ive lost the ability to watch any of these recordings.

Anyone have any advice on how I could maybe salvage my recording??

OK.

So you have several PRE-Brownout "Good" Recordings that you know were OK before the brown out?

If those are acting strange AND if the History Log is giving you strange errors for why the shows "did/didn't" record...

You might try a simple reset/reboot of the UTV. I'd recommend a reset code using your remote like 12357...

This should resolve most software related glitches.

You don't mention if your Tuners and Live TV appear to work OK. If they are flaky you might have to check your Multi-Switch/Cables/LNB etc.

If you haven't already thought about it... You might consider buying a cheap UPS (Battery Backup) power strip to protect the UTV,TV,Multi-Switch, etc. from Bad Power Events.

Recently I had a 6 year old UPS that has been protecting my Bedroom UTV burned out... Not bad at all for a $20 clearance unit. (Chip failed/burned on the Motherboard)

Also, consider actually unplugging it overnight (after a proper shutdown). I've had that help strange problems before.

As a side note; I have a unit that periodically (no pattern I can see) "forgets" that it is subscribed to the UTV service. I have to remove the card, count to 10 , re-insert card to get it back.
