Hey guys looking at buying a new remote. Was looking at the 890 and the MX-900 because both have RF which i would like to get.

Quick couple questions about the MX-900. Can it be programmed like a Harmony activity setup. What i mean is if i make a button "watch Directv", can the volume control my tv volume and the up/down buttons control the Satellite box channels?

Also does anybody know if the URC editing software is compatible with Vista?

All half way decent universal remotes, of which you just listed two, can do that function.
The software should work with Vista, afterall, Windows is kind of a big deal.

im familiar with how the hamony works, just wasn't sure about the mx-900. I heard that the software isn't combatible with Vista, just want to know if anyone has run it under Vista or not.

I can't even download a demo of the software because of URC's new policies.

Well, after talking to URC, their software IS NOT compatible with Vista, it's a good thing i emailed them. It would suck to have a remote i couldn't program.

The mx 900 software will work with vista, you need to download the individual editor as opposed to the complete control suite.
