I am in the market for an optical cable for my new TV. I was wondering if there was a brand that stands out above the rest. I know monster is good, but this if fiber optics, does it really matter which brand you pick? Anyhow, if someone has a particular brand that they are excited about, please let me know.

Thanks!!

Don't get caught up in spending a lot of money on fiber cables. A $40 fiber cable will work as good as a $400 cable. It's basically nothing more than glass passing light.

So the monster Ls200M, or LS400 4M, or LS100 S, then they have a THX one, all that is marketing crap?

Forget Mon$ter.... overhyped and overpriced.
The monoprice cable suggested above will be dandy! ;)

Plastic is much more likely, and $40 is a lot of money for a one or two meter Toslink cable.
