I'm looking for a simple(and inexpensive, sub $200) device that can play DVD VOB's and ISO's over a wired or wireless network in standard definition. I've currently only found information on the Tvix 4000 which seems to do what I want and more than I want for this purpose.
I was looking into the Galaxy 3500 IPTV DMG but cannot find any thorough information on it. It seems smaller, which I like, and cheaper, which I also like. I cannot find, however, if it will play ISO's or if the interface is any good.
Does anyone have any first hand experience with the Galaxy device? Can it play ISO's, fast forward, rewind, audio stay in sync?
Any other decent devices out there that can do standard def dvd's over the network?

Why not try the Mediagate MG-35 if you're only doing DVDs? They seem to be below your price point on eBay.

You can check out the Mediagate MG-25 or it's "cousin" the Antec AVOX Jukebox
The Mediagate is cheaper at 79 bucks minus S&H (check Newegg as I cannot post links yet  )
I see above someone suggested the MG-35, which is a great unit and it takes the cheaper 3.5" HDD's but it still will cost you just over 200 bucks when all is said and done. With the MG-25 the laptop 2.5" HDD's are cheaper now (You can pick up a decent Western Digital 120 GB for 70 bucks) and you will still come out under 150 bucks
It is HIGHLY portable and plays ISO's without ANY problem as well as a NUMBER of other formats. I have the AVOX flavor and a 60GB HDD (Had a couple spares around) and loaded it with my sons favorite DVD's compressed down to 2 gigs each in ISO format and I take it in the van with us for long trips as my van only came with a VCP but it had secondary inputs.
The BIGGEST problem I found was finding an auto power adapter but you can pick up a universal at RadShack for like 20 bucks and that's what I did and it works flawlessly. Also you must make sure to update to the latest and greatest firmware FIRST. The old firmware has some bugs.
Also this unit does Standard Res as well as high def.
Best bang for the buck unit out there right now IMHO.
Thanks for some info, I will check those out. Will they work without an internal harddrive? I really just need it to playback from the network.

The MG-350 will, the 25 will not, I am not sure about the MG-35 I think it has an RJ-45 for Lan connectivity but no wireless.
