If I plan to run a 5ft or less hdmi cable, will anyone work. I'm going to run two hdmi cables, one from my PS3 and another from my HD-XA1 to a Onkyo SR605 recevier.

Personally, I wouldn't go with a $5 El Cheapo cable (you don't want shoddy connectors) but a $100 cable would be like shooting ants with a canon.

Actually, if Monoprice is that inexpensive, I've heard enough testimony to its quality that I'd be confortable recommending the linked-to cable.

You need a high quality cable, particularly for cables that are longer than 15 feet, but almost any cable will do OK for less that 5 feet.

I got one for $20 or so on Amazon and it was loose. Replaced it with the one above and it fits snuggly.

The other one didn't have the resistors on the ends either. I will buy all my connectors from MonoPrice from now on.
