I have a row of 5 seats with standard wooden arms (no cup holders) Has anybody found out where you can buy the arm with cup holder replacement? If not, has anybody done a DIY version? Thanks!

I have the same type of seats, i am Planing on using a variation of the movie reel table. Instead of glass top i am going to put felt covered plywood on the bottom so that the cups will sit in the round holes on the reel, and use a pipe flange mounted to the floor, with a piece of pipe for the stand. I can see it clearly in my mind, hope i described it well enough.

I have seen people put these type of arm rests over wooden arm rests. It all depends on how the exisiting arms are shaped, etc. though.

Well I went the very inexpensive route and bought some plastic auto cup holders from WalMart for like $3 or so pack of 4. Cut off the top hook piece and screwed the cup holders into the bottom of the wood armrests of my theater chair seating. Looks nice works great though I think I would have bought a bit more expenisve holders as one already cracked by accidently sitting against it. For my sofa cupholders I simply bought an auto cupholder tray. Inexpensive and fits the bill at least for now.

That old link even had a new product line which bolted a cupholder to the end of existing armrests.
