September 4th release. So much for summer...
Can't wait, sick and tired of creating messages the old fashion way. No plans on cluttering things up with an USB keyboard.
Daekwan 07-10-07, 05:03 PM Thats actually pretty ****in sweet for $29 bucks..
Dungwader 07-10-07, 05:05 PM If they ever have a mmo on the 360 that is built/optimized (basically macro and text input) around the add on messenger kit I'll gladly pick it up. Until then it doesn't really interest me. I was hoping for $20 but if there is a game that I love, that fully utilizes it, I will gladly drop $30 on it.
zero002021 07-10-07, 06:21 PM I'm not paying $29 for that. I'm sure someone, maybe Amazon, will have it for around $19.99 soon after it's released. $20 is the limit for an Xbox 360 keyboard.
I think it's actually reasonably priced. I was sure they'd try and charge upwards of $49.99 for it in fact.
mcmushx15 07-10-07, 06:40 PM thats a cool deal.. beats my usb keyboard

Check your calendar to see when fall starts. ;)
mastahkaz 07-10-07, 07:41 PM I guess I'd get this if I didn't have a laptop that I can talk to people on IM with.
Rather than sending MSN IM's with this, I'd use it to send regular messages to other people on Live. Instead of "?" for an invite, I could now actually ask a question. Or I could use it for typing in file names for Forza 2 custom tuning setups for cars. :)
But IM on the XBox? No thanks. I have too many computers with Windows messenger clients on them that kick the 360 off IM all the time.
the red worm 07-10-07, 08:18 PM this will be great to send messages between friends over live

Shizelbs 07-10-07, 08:23 PM I can't wait. I'm going to preorder one.
Anyone click on the screenshot link on the product page in the first post? That's one of the worst blowups I've ever seen. Maybe it's one of the corners they're cutting to achieve a low price.

haha, i just saw that, i wasnt gonna say anything but you posted so i might as well, i wonder if they linked that wrong or what.
dpe8598 07-11-07, 01:16 PM Would be great if a good MMO comes out for the 360. Maybe Marvel?
NorthJersey 07-11-07, 02:51 PM will MS actually allow for this to be used for text entry in-games as well ?

Anywhere text entry is required it will work.
assasyn 07-11-07, 05:30 PM I don't have a use for it. I guess for those that do, it's pretty reasonable.
danieloneil01 07-11-07, 05:50 PM It's pretty goofy looking too
wokisan 07-11-07, 06:13 PM Been waiting for this for a while. Voice messaging is nice but not always the best option for me. I also get sick of pulling out the keyboard or typing in messages. I'll gladly pay $30 for it.
