I have a used Paragon TP-4 machine I bought earlier this year. I just want to go to a bigger machine. Anybody have any idea what to do with it? I don't want to go through the hassle of selling it on ebay.

Assuming someone here does not contact you to buy it, you could donate it to a charity, community center, Nursing home etc. :) roar 07-11-07, 11:56 AM If you are a paying member of this forum you can post it in the buy & sell forum I imagine... I like the donation idea better though :) MidLife 07-11-07, 12:12 PM many elementary schools and churches have 'movie nite'. Also, school fund raising events often can use one. Just curious to see if you have decided on how big and what kind of popper you're going to get to replace your TP-4? I should have added this with the first post. The following link below accepts trade-ins on poppers. Might be an option depending on what you want to do. Just another thought or idea.... http://www.valley-popcorn.com/Qstore/d000006.htm whiskey alpha 07-18-07, 04:55 PM Thanks Eddie, I looked at valley poppers but I'm afraid I would not get much out of it. I'm hoping to go to a 8 or 12oz machine. I also bought a new butter dispenser from Gold Medal today. Should be here in a few days. . The thing is still on my desk on home looking for a good home. rboster 07-18-07, 05:24 PM Where are you at in Iowa? If close to one of the larger metro area's...I bet a classified ad in the local paper would garner some response. I used to sell a ton of electronics over the years through the clasifieds. For those who've only known ebay. The classifieds are the very small ads located near the car dealership ads in your local paper. ;) Ron PS: I grew up in eastern IA in a town with a of 467ppl...so I knew not to assume you lived near Des Moines, Quad Cities etc. ;) Falcon Eddie 07-18-07, 07:45 PM Thanks Eddie, I looked at valley poppers but I'm afraid I would not get much out of it. Yeah....I noticed their prices on their poppers (i.e. Valley) were priced out significantly higher than some of the other sites I've frequented. Looks to me the prices at their site are marked up enough to cover their cost of buying the popper off you and then selling you a new one for a higher price than the competition. You're probably right.....it would just about end up that you'd be giving your popper to them for a couple bucks and then paying more than a competitive price for a new machine to boot! They'd end up in good shape on the deal. I shouldn't think your popper should be a hard sell since it is relatively new and in good shape, no? 8 or 12 oz. should be a nice sized machine. I have a 6 oz. that could probably handle a kettle of that size and I've often thought that if my kettle ever needs to be replaced someday, I might step up to that size. Me tinks the cabinet on my popper is big enough to handle it. razrbak 07-18-07, 08:46 PM I 2nd (or 3rd) the charity route. My local library does a movie night, I'm sure they would appreciate the donation. It would also be a tax deduction for you... skh1 07-21-07, 01:40 PM I'd sure be interested in it. Only problem is I am in WA state. WOuld you want to ship? AVS Notice 07-21-07, 05:35 PM Thread reported and closed. Please use the classified section for this. Thank you!! |
