There is a new thread that allows NETFLIX customers to choose a title from the list and have that title added to your NETFLIX account. There is a similar thread for Block Buster Total Access customers that is a STICKY. Should NETFLIX customers get equal billing by making this a STICKY? Backlash did a great job creating this new thread.

FWIW I think this forum has about 80% too many stickies to begin with, and that neither Netflix nor Blockbuster should be stickied, nothing against Netflix. I visit this forum (HD DVD Software, not AVS) less because of all the sticky-spam.

Have to agree with nightfly. Stickies are starting to lose their significance. There are already 12 stickies in tis forum already.

I would agree that there are too many stickies. Some of the threads that are stickies should be removed but I believe that both the BB thread and the NETFLIX direct links should be a STICKY.

These are threads that directly benefit many members of the AVS Forum. I would hope that is why a thread would be selected to be a STICKY.

I voted yes. I wish there was a way to combine the Bluray/HD-DVD/Blockbuster/Netflix threads all into one for easy reference.

There is a way to combine them, but it would mean either one very busy author, or the authors we have now writing unstuck threads for use as reference by the one who puts them into a table. Hey, we could even include the tier rating and links to community ratings as well!

Unfortunately I have a job :) and spend too much spare time in front of my computer to begin with. Which is why my eyesight is starting to interfere with my job :( Oh, and I kind of suck at typing in general and HTML to boot.

Either they make this one a sticky or they just unstick the Blockbuster one.
I do not see why they are going to keep one and leave thbe other rental place without the sticky.

Do not make more stickies, please. I would prefer most of the current stickies to be unstuck as well. The solution is to have one sticky thread with links to the useful threads, instead of making every content containing thread separately sticky.

You can try contacting one of the moderators. That is no guarantee that it will become a sticky though.

I'd prefer if there was a Netflix post added to the Blockbuster thread, so the # of stickies is not increased, but I could still quickly access the Netflix links.

I agree that there are too many stickies. However, I still believe that the NETFLIx direct to queue thread needs to become a STICKY.

As the BB Total Access thread maintainance poster, I agree there are too many stickies. I liked the idea of a Sticky Post that links to the sticky-worthy threads. Regardless of whether the BB thread is stickied or not, I'll continue to maintain it.

And for what it's worth, even though I don't have an account with the company, the Netflix thread is definitely sticky-worthy.

While I currently don't do Netflix it is only fair to list as a sticky any HD-DVD online rental outlet... there use to be an import only online rental outlet I wonder if they carry any HD-DVD's?

It'd make sense for the netflix & bb direct links threads to have the same status. It's not even a "war" between the two, many of us switch between the two depending on the best deals/mood etc...
