Here's the first look at this anticipated game. Personally, I need to see big improvement over the first game. While it had some fun elements to it, it was so unpolished and linear. I remember trying to shoot guys far away with my bow and the arrows would just stick into walls that weren't there. Plus, the game forced you to follow this story that wasn't that good. You really couldn't deviate at all and do your own thing. Sure it had some cool elements like getting wives and houses, but I need improvement.

Having played both Fable and Black & White, I am now firmly in the "Will never buy another Lionhead game again" camp. The company simply doesn't know how to make good games. Peter Molyneux brags about all the innovation and open-endedness of his titles, but at the end of the day, they're just not that fun.

I really enjoyed Fable, so I'm looking forward to Fable 2. I agree that Molyneux talks a big talk and only delivers on 1/3 of his promises.

I enjoyed Fable even though it didn't live to the hype. Molyneaux is a visionary and unfortunately lots of what he dreams (and *ahem* boasts) about isn't really realistic so a lot of people are let down. I think Fable 2 will be the same deal. The trick is to just not buy into the hype and enjoy a game for what it really is rather then what you expected it to be.

Sounds pretty good so far. Now if only we didn't have to wait two more years to play it.

I went out and bought a brand new pc for Black and White 2...I enjoyed it mildly but overall that game was ass and such a complete letdown from the hype built from it...I never looked at another Lionhead game after that.

Black and White was OK until the evil god killed all my people so I could not progress in the game. It wasnt interesting enough to go back to.

I actually really liked Fable, but I didnt pay as much attention to video game news back then so wasnt aware of much of the hype. It was short and there was nothing to do after you beat the main quest but what was there was nice. Nice graphics, nice sound.... it just could have been so much more.

I would hope this game is "more" but I guess thats not really a reasonable expectation. A reasonable expectation will be that it is equal. To me that would still be worth a buy.
