In the 'battle' between using a mini-mac(or other mac) and using an AppleTV for control, it looks like the new remote stuff available for iPhone (and by extension new OSX based iPods later) will not favor the AppleTV, since they all must essentially run from the browser to control a mac(iTunes). In other words, they would compete for control with an AppleTV setup.

So my question is, all other issues aside; which user interface do you guys prefer and why? AppleTV? or Front Row?

Front Row on Leopard looks exactly like AppleTV.

cool - that's good to know; They must be consolidating - excellent;
In that case I may focus on a Front Row server - I have an Apple TV now and love it; but I want to use iPhone/iPod for a remote; Once Leopard arrives (timed with some new mac options no doubt), I'll see about making the jump and relegate the ATV to the bedroom...
