I got the same email today. I can only assume that you used a coupon code as I did and I bet that is the reason for canceling the order.

I did use a code, can't remember which, the 300 was in addition to 3 other titles I ordered. 2 of which I've already received, the 3rd is for a pre-order that is not out yet. hmmm

Either way, I just placed an order through Amazon.

I just checked my WHV cart for my July 3 preorder of 300 and it still shows as "In Progress". Also just checked email -- nothing from WHV. I had only used the $3 off coupon code and not the $10 off one.

Just goes to show: if a deal is too good to be true it probably isn't.

Mine is still good, and I have not yet received any e-mail. I wonder if its because some people managed to order it when it wasn't supposed to be available. I wonder if that's throwing a glitch in the system.

For those who got cancelled, it is still on their site for pre-order, I would just re-order it using the codes and let them cancel it again. If they keep cancelling, keep ordering it.

Mine canceled also ... same message. I ordered 3 disks from them for over $65 ... and this is how I am rewarded. I might as well cancel the remaining one and buy from Amazon.

I suppose in all likelyhood they just can't handle large volumes in the way that places like amazon can. I would have ordered from Amazon but I had a 7% coupon at buy.com and got it for $18.57 :) Normally buy.com is soo much higher on stuff I almost never check their prices anymore.

It could be because the listing on Warner's site no longer has (SPD) behind it.

Mine was cancelled as well. Wasn't too bad because I ended up getting Blood Diamond for $16 and shipped for free because of it.

May be they ran out of space and putting the special features in the SD DVD side.

I think it's because there's a huge demand that's too much for WB to supply. I ordered from DVD pacific and I have not received any news from them in regards to this so it may be because of just the simple case of supply outstripping demand.

My order was 6-21. If (big if) Warner was canceling them they might not have notified the vendors yet?

My pre-order was June 22nd and was canceled yesterday. They shipped out Blood Diamond. I am waiting on I-Max blue planet but I may now cancel and go with another vendor. I checked pricing and 300 is now much more than I pre-ordered it for through WHV.

I will check buy.com and elsewhere.

I also sent a message to WHV as to why my order was canceled instead of delayed.

I put my pre-order for 300 in on 6/20. If it gets canceled, I will just order from Amazon as usual. I only pre-ordered 300 from WHV because they tend to deliver movies well before street date.

Just a notice that you can't get your order reinstated by calling WHV customer service. They said that "Corporate" does not allow them to take orders over the phone. They said feel free to order again. When I asked about the discount and free shipping, they asked me to send a request after the order was put in again and could make no guarantees.

I went over to Amazon and dropped my order there... .15 more and free shipping. I can deal with that.

My order was in May and was cancelled.

Macros, did they say why the order was cancelled? You stated the orders need to be replaced, does mean the problem is over?

Yes. It has been hyped too much for them to cancel now. I actually take this ordeal as a good sign for HD DVD; it means Warner has a such a high demand for the film that they feel free to pick and chose their clients. In this case it looks like customers with a big discount were screwed.

TomsHT, they said it was because my CC was declined. Strange because they shipped me Blood Diamond a week earlier and I use the same card all the time. I thought the email was spam until I noticed that it said 300 on it. Warner Home Video was misspelled in the notice, it was something like Waner Hom Vido.

I think I'll stay away from WHV in the future.

NP. I have seen 300 and although it isn’t the greatest thing since sliced bread it is a nice “check your brain at the door” film.

One of the features I’m most excited about on the HD DVD version is the ability to edit the film. I don’t mind my kids seeing violence (I’m a veteran, violence paid the bills so the kids were familiar with that from an early age), but I like to avoid nudity when it’s an option. With the HD DVD version I should be able to edit out the 3 scenes in the film that have T&A and then let my son watch the “edited” version. The fact that 300 drives Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad crazy is an added bonus.

I don't remember what date I ordered on, but I ordered 300 with Blood Diamond with the 15% off and free shipping. I received Blood Diamond yesterday. No 300 cancellation yet. Keeping my fingers crossed.

And how many days has the 'preorder' been pending.. maybe you hit a magic number of say 45days or 60days where their computer automatically cancels orders not shipped?

Like at "Fry's" every week I get an email saying my order for '300' is on back order.. yet they had canceled all the $14.99 preorders and it states so when checking on the order online... But I have set aside funds just in case they try shipping also.....

After my debacle with my Ultimate Matrix with WB I have decided not to order there again. I ordered the day it was posted on the site thinking that I may receive it the day of release or even a bit early. It arrived two weeks after release after I purchased it in store for lower price than online through WB.
