I have an Infocus 7200 connected with component to a Samsung BD-P1200 via component. The Infocus is running v. 3.9, and he Samsung is running the first FW update from last October.

Occasionally, when there is a large flash of light, the Infocus loses sync for a few seconds. I have been noticing this more lately and do not recall the problem with my previous Sony DVD player. It can happen with either DVD or Blu-ray, but typically only when there is a large flash of light.

Any ideas would be very welcome.

Are you running your component video directly from the BD-1200 to the PJ or through a component switcher (receiver, scaler, or external switching box)? The problem is worse if you use a cheaper receiver or switcher (automatic is worse than manual switchers). If so it may be the problem. You may want to running video directly to the PJ. Also if your cable is mediocre or too long, you will have similar problems.

I am using an Outlaw receiver at the present. Thanks for the suggestion, I will try some more A/B testing. [I thought I had eliminated this possiblity before posting.]

The cable is very high quality and normally does fine. I have not A/B'ed this but I can do so.

Did you ever find a fix for this? I'm getting EXACTLY the same thing. I'm getting this via DVD (Sony DVP777 / Escient, and my DishNetwork VP722). So I'm guessing that the problem is with my Anthem AVM20 or with the cable that connects to the projector.

If anyone can shed some light on this issue, I would sure appreciate it. Thank you.

Bypassing my outlaw receiver fixed this problem for me. I would try that first if possible.
