Don't you think Gears would be running better on the 360 this year than last year if they had a whole extra year of development time? The same should be true if Gears were released first on the PS3 and then on the 360. I hope this is just a statement to say how great it is that this game is running nicely on the PS3 and not another 360 vs PS3 thread. If it is the former, disregard everthing I said.

These are words from Mark Rein's piehole, not mine. It just gives us a reference point on how good this game is coming along. Also keep in mind, its 3 freaking months before release.

I think the effect of this statement is to dispell the notion that Gears of Wars could NEVER be ran on the PS3. This was said quite a bit. It's not saying PS3 stronger than 360, but PS3 can definitely run Gears.

well i don't know what the OP's intentions were, but Mark Rein was simply saying UT3 is looking and running better than Gears was after the same development time so hes pleased with how the game is progressing thus far. it's already running very well and there is still a lot of time for them to polish the game up. what makes you think they had an EXTRA year of development time?

its great news for PS3 owners that the UE3 engine is working well on PS3. as UT3 progresses on PS3, the UE3 engine will progress with it and this will help all developers that use the UE3 engine on PS3.
