I am having difficulty reading the text on webpages loaded with the PS3 browser such as the PS store. I believe this is due to the high (1080i) native resolution, however I wonder if there is something that I do not have set properly that will allow the pages to be viewed more comfortably? Well the PS store and the web browser handle fonts differently. You can't change fonts on the PS Store but there are ways to increase the font size in the browser I just can't tell you at work.

P.S. I view the at 1080P and the PS Store is fine

Hit R3 and that will zoom the web browser, then you can zoom in and out with R2 and L2 respectively.

I love how the bigger the television you own and the higher resolution you set it at, the more difficult it is to read things - makes no sense from a useability perspective. They must assume that we're going to sit 10 inches from our screens to enjoy the hi-def goodness. They forget it's not a damn computer.
