I am looking to get a sub $1000 TV for my living room. Is this TV better than getting a 42" plasma(Vizio/LG)? Can this be wall mounted because of its slim design?
How good are DLPS for gaming and Bluray watching? I am going from a 32" Viewsonic 720P LCd, so what should I expect??
"Better" is a relative term. It all comes down to personal preference. Some (including myself) prefer DLP over plasma, but others prefer plasma. All that's important is which you prefer. DLPs are great for gaming and BD (although you have to go up to 50" to get 1080p.

50 is out of my budget right now, and too big for my present living room. I have been playing on 1080i, so if I can get any better at that resolution, I owuld be happy.
So can I mount this tv on the wall. Monprice has a mount for 37-65" TVs and supports 135 lbs. Can I mount this TV? WIll it look awkward being a DLP??
I have the Samsung HLT-4675S and I love it. I watch HD DVD, BLU-RAY w/ my new PS3 and games look great on it.
You can not go wrong with it. Are you purchasing your TV from a store?
as for mounting it on the wall, you probably could but I think it would not look as good as a LCD or Plasma.

I am getting it from Amazon. I went and saw it at BestBuy and it was the darkest of all dlps when seen from near. They had it adjacent to a Westinghouse 42" 1080p LCD and it was almost night and day. But when I checked it from my normal viewing distance, it looked good.

Samsungs site says to use the "matching stand" to wall mount. The "slimfit" design allows a closer to the wall setup... I have the adjustable black stand for the HLS and it matches my 4675 wonderfully. It looks kind of small since the cabinet on the HLT, is smaller than my replaced HLR 4667.
