I have not played my PS3 in a while so i just got update 1.82 and now whenever I turn on my PS3 it kicks my laptop off my wireless network. Has anyone else run into a similar problem and if so is there a fix to it? Thanks in advance.

Do you have a limited IP range on your router? That is, can only a certain amount of devices connect at once. Check to see what IP is being assigned to your laptop and PS3, are they the same? Just some quick questions.

Just checked and they have separate IP addresses.
This is what is happening. Laptop is connected perfectly fine. PS3 turns on and connects to internet - laptop is kicked off. Then laptop reconnects and PS3 can't connect and I get a network error message.

Is the router assigning the address, or are you doing it manually (static)?

I think it's automatic - I havent' touched my interenet settings since the 1st time I set it up and everything used to work perfectly.

Also, again, is your router set to only allow a specific number of settings? This sounds kind of like that. IF you only allow 2 connections and you are using them both, something has to give.

How can I check that?
I dont have your router. For my router, I put in the IP for the settings page and I can check the settings. Wish I could help more.
