My advice, and take it however you want, but you can get a 720p set easily in that price range without touching a store like Walmart. Most of their sets are either specifically made with inferior components for the store or are the same model number sold elsewhere with either inferior components or subtracted features.
You likely will not be happy with a set purchased there and the overall savings to you may not be that much. If you must use a Walmart type store, then use Sam's Club instead. Due to their different price margin structures, Sam's tends to sell a lot more genuine retail merchandise and far less specialized builds.
If price is a significant factor for you, I would suggest using a trusted online retailer instead, perhaps someone like Amazon or another suggested site from this board. Do be careful, however, as the best adverstised prices online are typically from scam retailers. If you've never heard of the place, odds are more likely it is a deal that is too good to be true.
