Looks like the DC of T2 is coming August 13 from Momentum Pictures Entertainment. Sendit.com (http://www.sendit.com/video/item/7001000137511) has it up for preorder for £15.89. I got The Pianist from them, great service.

That one is the French import. The new one will be a UK import and not include the theatrical version, only the Director's Cut. Not sure of any price difference though. Personally I'd rather have the English cover art, if there's the choice. Not too worried about the theatrical version.

Well you can always print custom T2 cover art from the custom art thread. That thread saved me some grief with my Underworld:Evolution Import; the spine print on the Spanish cover ran the opposite direction from North American HD DVD releases. As a perfectionist I couldn't stand that and the custom art thread made it so I didn't need to. Here's a Link (http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=765165&highlight=custom)
to the custom cover art thread for interested parties.

Why would there be forced subtitles on a UK disk?

I thought the DC was longer than 130 mins?

I think he's talking about the forced subs mentioned on the details of the French Theatrical cut. They are forced on that disk and optional on the director's cut in the 2 disk French HD DVD edition of T2. The UK edition is just the same as the French version minus the Theatrical cut disk and with English on the cover. The way I see it the best option is just to get the French edition from Xploited, then print one of the like 20 custom T2 HD DVD covers in the custom art thread I linked earlier.

The UK release will be Disc 2 from the French set in new packaging. It includes only the extended cut of the movie, which runs 153 minutes regardless of the misprint on the packaging (which is using the PAL run time from the theatrical cut DVD). It does not include the theatrical cut (Disc 1 of the French set).

The extended cut disc offers your choice of menu language, and does not have forced subtitles.

There are comparisons between the Studio Canal Release (same as this one) and the BR release. The HD-DVD looks noticeably better.
