It's nice that you actually don't have to go through the PSN (and probably pay) for mods and everything....but I think I'll still get it for the PC.

I wouldn't be opposed to buying the PS3 version once it drops in price though.

PS3 looks like the ideal place to play UT3. Don't have to spend $1000 or more upgrading my PC (more likely replacing) and it won't have an OS or driver crap to fiddle with. Epic says it's working well and they usually know their stuff.

I was a bit sad when they announced the delay for the Xbox 360. I don't want to upgrade my PC just for UT3...Epic actually said that the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and PC version will be pretty much graphically identical so that pretty much kills the PC version for me. I'll just get the PS3 version at first then buy the 360 version to play with my Live friends.

The PS3 version can play with both other PS3 users and with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux PC users. Those 4 platforms are going hold all of the competitive players with the 360 just being the gamepad-only players (who also won't get any mod support).

So I doubt there will be too many serious UT3 players on the 360 with a gamepad, especially since Xbox Live is going to lock all of the 360 players out of crossplatform competition.

Does this post imply that UT3 for the PS3 will support mouse and keyboard input? If that is accurate, I think that is great and could be the excuse I've been looking for to jump in and buy the PS3.

That's what they've been saying, hopefully they stick to it.

Does anyone now that since PC mods and KB/M will be supported on PS3, will PS3 players be able to play on the same servers and in the same games as UT players on PC?

I haven't seen any of that mentioned in any article or interview.

I just saw it mentioned in one of the articles yesterday. Whether it is true is another matter. Time will tell.
