Hi everyone.
I'm delibirating the two choices above for quite some time now.
I don't know what would be the best choice for me.
I have a pretty standard living room, viewing distance of about 3.5-3.8 meters.
I was about to go for a combination of a 32" LCD "HD Ready" plus a 1080P projector, but then I thought about it and I don't know if i'd be better of with a 50" Plasma (also HD Ready, no FHD plasmas in my country yet). The Plasma I was going for was the HP-T5064 Samsung which seems like the best bang for the buck.
I watch TV about 40% of the time (SD Only where I live), and 60% watching movies while connected to my 24" iMac (some are 1080P movies, others are 720P). Mayby down the line i'll add a PS3 or Wii to the bunch.
I should add that I usually like to crop the sides a bit on 1:2.35 movies to fill up the screen a little more. So I guess that will make those 1080P movies more like a 720P movie. Then again, on a projector this will not be an issue due to that huge screen, so i'll see the full wide screen image.
