might be a bulb problem.

Mine did the same thing last week. Power light goes from green to red flashing 4 times then repeats 4 red flashes over and over again. No sound, no pic. Mine is 10 months old with only limited use and plenty of airflow behind tv. Repairman will be here tomorrow to change out the fan assembly. He diagnosed it over the phone based on the number of times the red light flashes and said this was a fairly common problem within the first year. Should be watching the big tv again tomorrow!!
