I'm about to buy a BenQ W500 and I'm looking for a way too hang it with out drilling holes or wrecking my place. Mainly cause I dont want to give up my deposit. Is there any ways to hang projectors without drilling?
Thank you

Two columns on either side of the room supporting an unattached beam, hang projector from the beam. Make it tight enough so that it doesn't move.

Keep in mind that patching holes in drywall is really pretty easy and if you have basic white ceilings easy to fix when you move out. Just make sure you have some matching paint before you start the project.

I'm with Big. I mounted a G70 (180+ pound CRT PJ) in my apartment ceiling because I knew I'd be there a few years. 4 years later we just moved out and it took less than 4 hours total (spread over 3 days) to patch the MANY holes well, sand, and hit with ceiling paint.

If it's flat drywall (no popcorn) and basic ceiling white paint, do whatever you want; it's easy to fix...

Even a popcorn ceiling is easy to fix, they have these cans of texture stuff that you just spray on after spackling. The color of the spray stuff is kind of a generic ceiling white, you might not even have to paint it.

I agree here.

You can repair the holes with $10 of materials when you leave. Mud, sand paper, paint.

Now, go get your projector.
