View Full Version : Panasonic Rebate Warranty issue....

I purchased a Panasonic 50" 9UK television two maybe three months ago. At the time of purchase there was an offer for a free 5 year warranty through Panasonic as a rebate.

After receiving the television I submitted the rebate, and I just got a reply from Panasonic that said "The request for the your Panasonic rebate could not be honored because: The serial number you have submitted has already been used in this program." The letter also says to contact the location of purchase to have them help with this issue.

I bought the TV from Visual Apex and I sent them an e-mail today since they are not open until Monday.

I guess what i would like to know is if anyone else has experienced this issue? Did they sell me a TV that was returned after the rebate was mailed in by someone else? Am I screwed, or maybe someone else has had this issue and can help guide me on what to do to take care of it so i can get my warranty.

visual apex is a good forum sponsor. they should help you get it corrected and registerd with panasonic, just give them a chance to take care of it with the email or give them a call monday morning.

I purchased the 50" 9UK from VA as well. No problems with getting the Warranty rebate, but it did take Panny about 2 months to send the certificate.
VA should be able to assist you.
