I have an older(2 years)LCD that has two component connections, so I think. One says YPbPr1, the other says YPb(Cb)Pr(Cr)2. I understand that a YCbCr is used for editing and other similar formats but being that it's in parentheses I would think that the connection is also a regular component connection.

I tried hooking a up my HDTV cable box with no signal and then tried the Xbox 360 with no signal. Is there anything I can do to have two legitimate component connections on this tv? I am trying to set up a mini gaming theater using an older Kenwood 5.1 receiver with no component connections.

hmm..you're right, YCbCr isn't a true HD input, and cannot do anything over 480i. Have you tried setting the output of either your HD cable box of 360 to 480i, and see if the signal goes through?

I've never seen a "YPb(Cb)Pr(Cr)". To me, I would think that means it can accomodate both. Maybe there is a setting in your TV's menu where you can switch between the two?
