Hi There!
I bought new CRT Sony Tv KV- SW25M80, but it was having problems... then i called a sony service man..and he adjusted those problems.....i observed that sony person pressed some keys on the remote control and then a special strange menu ( code type) appeared on my TV. there he made some adjustment and after that my TV display was v much improved...Before leaving he said to me that he did this specially for me...after some days i pressed reset button and after that i lost that beautiful display setting...Please tell me if somebody has any idea what was that code? ...and how i can bring those changes myself..because normally that menu(code) does not appear on TV...
Please tell me ..i will be grateful..

If you lost your settings from pushing the reset button on the remote, then those settings can be be restored without going into the service menu. Most likely the service tech adjusted your brightness, picture, and color settings to where they needed to be.

To get those back, just set your picture setting (AKA white level) to where white areas are bright, but not so bright that you are losing any (or very much) detail.

Then go to brightness (AKA black level), and set that so that when you watch a letterboxed movie or program, the black area of the letterbox is just as dark or just slightly darker than a black area that appears on the screen (like a pitch black room). This takes some fine tuning, but it's important. It ensures that you get good blacks without losing too much detail.

Finally, go to color and set that to basically the minimum setting you can use, but still have skin tones and faces look life-like and "pleasing".

If you want to go into the service menu and play around, that's fine. There are lots of other threads here that will tell you how to do that, and what to watch out for, such as writing down your setting before changing them.

However, it does not look like you need to do that, and if a tech has already adjusted your service menu, I would not mess with it since they should have done a good job with it already.
