I'm having trouble seeing the best way to do this. So far I've got furring strips all the way around with 1" of ductliner covering the entire wall. The fabric is only 48" wide so how can I cover a 9' wall without sewing it together? I need some ideas.

seams, divide the wall into logical segments. Keep in mind that you really don't need fabric behind the screen. The ductliner should be dark enough.
In doing seams you fasten the fabric to the furring strip. Then mount the strip to the wall hiding the staples. Butting two strips together creates a seam. If the fabric is good and dark you really won't know where the seam is.
This is similar to doing to doing an inside corner.
There are some great pictures about putting up fabric (about 200) in Chinadogs construction picture gallery. At about 180 he provides some notes.

Without permission (you owe him a beer) I'll link one of his Excellent diagrams that should give you an idea. You don't need to bevel the edges as he has.
