i hope i'm in the right forum but here goes.

i have a sony xbr2 40 inch. it has 3 hdmi ports and i want to hook up consoles and dvd players to get full picture quality through hdmi. now for the audio i have an optical out on the tv or i can do a splitter and do individual inputs into my receiver. my questions is this. is there any way to just move all sound through one optical port from back of tv to receiver? if not what do you guys think about splitters for optical cables. whats the max for that..2 in 1 or 4 in 1?

also i heard their is a website to get the most naturalistic look from your tv..

If you want digital audio, I'd just run the coax/optical audio cable from whatever device to your receiver, one for each piece of equipment. How many devices are you trying to hook up, and what are they? How many digital audio does your receiver have?
