Would you buy a 720p model JVC HD1?
I would love to see this. I for one do not think the difference in 1080 over 720 in terms of picture detail is that noticeable unless you have a very big screen. More important (for digital) is that 1080 reduces screen door versus a similar 720 model. But, with LCOS, fill factor is not an issue. Take the hd1, do some cost cutting....install an inexpensive lens, inexpensive scaler (maybe the new benq's HQV), pull the fixed iris (you can always use an nd filter) etc. Maybe $2500 for this 720p 10k-15k native contrast machine? :D
Are you listening Victor-JVC-Kenwood?
Who is with me? :)
