Long story short our GWIII(bought in fall of 2003) has different color splotches all over the screen. So we get to keep it, but due to a warranty are recieving a free replacement tv. We didn't want to pay to upgrade to 1080p.

The replacement is a WD-52531, will the picture be similar quality to the Sony, i'm actually hoping it will be slightly better(Seeing as how the mits is 3 years newer). Any info would be great on the tv!

It's their entry level set that's a LCD RPTV. Not very popular. Do you have any choice on the replacement?
