I am ready to pull the trigger on the Sony Pearl VW50 until I heard that the VW60 is comming, probably with the same price range.
I am aware of the issues with Sony Pearl (convergence & color uniform, and laterly, the short bulb life). Is there any rumors what VW60 would bring to the table ? Will 120 Hz alone worth the 3-4 months wait for the new projector ?

Well the VW60 is not in existence yet technically. There will be several models shown at Cedia in September, but, hard to say when they will actually ship, what price they will be, what the differences will be, etc... Pertaining to the convergence/uniformity/etc..., that is a limitation of the technology, not the model. They might work on better tolerances with the new models, but I wouldn't count on it necessarily. Also, I check out many of the Pearls I sell, and overall they are actually quite good (sure, there are some exceptions, but that is a very small percent).

If you are ready now you might jump on the Pearl. If you aren't in a pressing hurry, you could wait another several months until the new models are actually shipping to see how they will fair.
