I've had a 61" JVC HD61FN97 for about 9 months.
Yesterday, while playing with my HTPC, I noticed a dark grey blotch in the lower right quadrant of the screen, about a 2" diameter circle in size. It's very noticeable when viewing solid light-colored or white backgrounds/scenes. In dark or multi-colored scenes it's harder to see. It's there when using the HTPC and just viewing Dish TV.
At first I thought it was a greasy smudge from a palm or fingers, but wiping the blotch with a soft cloth had no effect.
Also, with the TV off, there is nothing noticeably wrong with the outside of the screen. I would think if the outside of the screen was damaged or dirty, the issue would still be visible when the TV is off.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any ideas what may have caused this? Can it be fixed? :(
