I'm starting to flush out my HDMI cable decision and I ran across this wall plate that I thought was a pretty good price. It has 2 HDMI inputs. 1 for my projector and 1 for a future game port or something.

Looks like the same website as monoprice.

I then looked at their HDMI cables. I figure I need about 18 feet or so and figured I'd get 20 feet. 25 feet here is pretty cheap. Has anyone used cable from here beofre? It is 22g too.

I was orginally going to purchase from BlueJeans but their cable is 24g and more expensive.

Is there something I am not considering? I'm not cheap, but saving a buck and cosolidating an order is a bonus.

Is 20 to 25' a pretty safe/reliable run?

Thanks,

John

You should have no problem at 25ft with that heavy cable. Just make sure you exit the ceiling right, and bend it so it does no put to much force on your HDMI projector port. This can be a problem with the thicker cable if not angled properly.

You might want put the plate on both ends and use a lighter weight short cable to the player and PJ. :)

Good luck :)
