I'm about to buy a new sub for a kind of small room. It's about 12x12x9 sealed with 2 door ways that can be open or closed. I am thinking about the PB12plus/2. Has anyone every herd this sub in a small room like this one? Would i pretty much be set for a really long time? Any info would be great.

With that sub in that room, you would be set for a really long time.

Be careful. You're gonna hurt yourself!
Seriously, it should do a great job.

Ya, I think you'll have a sh*t eatin grin on your face for quite a while......but be careful........the disease known as upgraditis can hit at anytime, especially when you find out what real bass is all about with that SVS! Give us a write up when you get it!

I have recently moved and put my +/2 in a room that is 11x12x8. I haven't had a chance to calibrate yet, but I watched The Last Mimzy the other night at a volume level less than I am used to. I had my MV set to -8 to -9 when I was in my large space. This time I was at -13. When the scene with the Seattle blackout came on, it shook the room like I have never felt before. Some of this may be due to the fact that the HT is now on the second floor in a small sealed room. Before it was in a VERY large, open space on a concrete slab.
I have my +/2 placed directly behind my couch as there isn't room to put it any place else.

You don't think that's overkill for a room that small?

No such thing. I call it upgraditis prevention.
Be careful with the Plus 2. It seems larger than you think.

My room is a little bigger then that and i wanted the plus 2, but went with the 20-39 plus.
I think i made the right choice. Didnt impress much at first, but then i got it moved in the right place and calibrated half way decent it really shakes the place :) More then enough for me, and i am a bass junky.
I dont think you will be disappointed with the bass. But like others have said its big and it might be a little to much.
I like my subs like my women. I got to be able to pick it up and carry it by myself :)
Id recomend a tube and getting it calibrated, id think youd be more then happy.
