I'm having a weird problem where i can either get the top or bottom of my Epson Cinema 400 focused. I have it on a rear-wall shelf 6ft off the ground using lens shift to bring the image down on the wall slightly. It's not off by much but I can notice it when displaying text. My solution has been to focus somewhere in the middle of the top / bottom.

I'm a total projector newbie, so I'm sure I must be doing something wrong here. If anyone can help me / explain to me whats happening I would really appreciate it!

Thanks!

I'm kind of a projector noob and recently got the 400. I'd try to help, but I really don't know how you can have this problem. When you turn the focus ring...the top and bottom focus individually instead of at the same time? I'm not really sure how that is possible. Can you post a screen shot or something? Other than having your keystone way off or your projector un-straight or un-level...I just don't have any ideas. Maybe someone more advanced has heard of this problem, but mine seems to focus all together and haven't really had any problems like you explain. Good luck.

Check if your projector is perpendicular to the screen. If the projector is tilted, you will not get a proper top & bottom focus. Maybe your projector is not perfectly horizontal (level) or your screen ( or wall) is not perfectly vertical. Excuse my English.
