Ok so I just registered on freight quote and tried to get a quote for transporting a some pallets by air but it turns out freight quote doesn't offer air freight to Sweden.

Can someone recommend another courier offering air freight to Sweden except DHL, FedEx, Schenker and UPS?

Would be nice to find a cheap solution for air transport of pallets since the last sea freight I ordered took 2 months to arrive...

You need to be searching for a "freight forwarder", and NOT a courier company. A freight forwarder is someone who makes all the necessary arrangements to get freight from point A to point B. They are ONLY commercial operators, but I think you buy enough stuff you could be considered commercial. Many will work with just a credit card as payment, and any I've dealt with can do "door to door" or "airport to airport" or whatever combination you need.
Generally, they don't do customs preparation, for that you need a customs broker, who deals with all the paperwork. But here in Canada, that can be avoided by getting it shipped "in bond" which means they hold it at the shippers bonded warehouse till you get it released by customs yourself.
There are ins and outs to this, but its really quite a bit cheaper and faster when you've worked them out.
Call and talk to a local freight forwarder, tell them you expect to ship a dozen things a month(the more you ship, the cheaper it is...) and want to do one shipment as a trial to see how it goes, you'll get a good quote, and if you like the way it goes, can actually use them again...

Eagle Global Logistics has been very good to me.

www.eaglegl.com.

Also, for some reason on occasion it's cheaper for the overseas buyer (you, Mr. King) to arrange the shipping. Dunno why that is, but specifically to Sweden, twice it's saved the buyer $100 or so.

Thanks for the leads,
Will contact them tomorrow and see what they can offer me.

Yeah arranging the shipping for myself has saved me alot of money in the past but usually you need a company to get good prices since freight "forwarders" don't like working with consumers normally.

Why not sea transportation? Try www.jetcarrier.com. I got a 1208S from TX to Norway with them about two years ago. Very resonable prices, and it didn`t take long.

They have air transportation as well. I use them all the time. You get an US "C/O"-address that you can use when buying stuff from US stores, or eBay.

We use Schenker when importing goods from US to Sweden. They will also handle customs and possible Vat. for you.

They offer both sea and air shipping.

Try Agility (agilitylogistics) - they have various offices all across the US and have operations across Europe as well.
