View Full Version : Any benefits letting the sub play facing doorway?

Would the doorway act like a port on a subwoofer. Since the door opening is near a corner how does pressure waves conduct?

Would it be good for the sound to let the sub switch side in the front facing the doorway on the opposite side.

Sorry for so many questions. I just to know if it is theoretically better to play this way. I dont wont to drag the subwoofer around and brake my back, i just want to know what you think about this set-up.

Nope. If anything, a doorway/hall would act as a bandpass. Mostly all you'll notice is that you're losing bass to the adjacent space. No point in that.
