I'm not sure if this question belongs here or in the HD DVD forum cause I'm not sure where the problem starts. But here goes... When I connect the Toshiba XA2 via HDMI I'm not getting a picture. I get the Toshiba welcome screen and I can get the Toshiba set-up menu projected but as soon as the movie starts the screen goes blank. I get a flash of a picture if I skip to the next chapter but thats it. I've tried a 1.0 and a 1.3 cable( 30 ft.). I'm running the latest firmware on the player.

Here's what does work-sort of:

Connecting using a Geffen switcher that is HDMI in/DVI out and using a DVI to HDMI cable to the Z3. The problem here is that the picture is very dark. There is a known problem with the XA2 and running HDMI to DVI causing black crush. I assume thats what is going on with mine.

Connecting via component works but the color is way off and the pic is a little soft.

I called Sanyo support and they were of little help. I'm hoping someone here has run accross this issue and hopefully found a fix.
