I moved my pj over a couple of feet to move some furniture by it and now I get this “no vsync” message. It’s a 8501 marquee and apparently VERY sensitive!

Yes, I checked my connections, swapped out cables, reseated the decoder board and still no change. Its on channel 4, composite video input. (tried the other input channel too).

My vga input still works though.

Any other troubleshooting areas and advise would be appreciated. Thanks!

It sounds like your quad decoder board is bad. IF you're running SVGA, why do you need a composite input? The quad decoder is terrible in the Marquees as compared to say the NEC ones, but I've got lots of them in stock for dirt cheap if you want one.

Vsync is vertical sync.

ok, that's what I thought it meant. Wasn't sure if I was missing something.

I've been delaying my decision on what to buy to switch over. I was going the pc route but got side tracked...
