I have a 14'x25' HTR. My source components are hd-dvd ,blu-ray ,and htpc. My screen size is an 8' wide anamorphic screen. I have a panamorph p752 lens. My seating is two rows of sofas 12' distance to screen and 20' distance to screen. My ceiling is about 7'6" high. I have a Mitso. HD1000 installed ,but I have coming a Sharp DT-500. Which one of these will suit my setup the best and serve me the best of general movie watching? Setting them up is not a pain for me ,because...no pain....no gain. oh...the hours are low on both. (under 200)

You are in a unique situation...no matter what anyone on the forum tells you - your eyes are the only things that matter. Whichever one looks better to you is the one you should keep.

The Sharp willl be better. My DT-500 should be here today. It has no white segmeent, so you'll get better colors, better blacks, etc. The iris will take the contrast and blacks to another level.

I though the HD1000U didn't do the vertical stretch required for native 2.35:1 using an anamorphic lens.

is there any other DT-500 owners out there
