I do have an Infocus IN72 that has been working fine with Windows MCE using M1-DA cable connection from Monoprice. I just built a new HTPC with Vista Ultimate and my DVI/M1-DA cable connection stopped working or died (25ft long). I can only use HDMI to connect.
My setup is as follows:
Vista Ultimate
2 gig memory
2x300g Sata Hard drive
Nvidia Geforce 7600 GTX
Infocus IN72 using HDMI cable.
Could the cable be dead, is this a common occurence. Someone please help me out.

You just changed to Vista. I would eliminate the output from your computer as the problem before blaming the cable.
Check your IN72 to make sure it will check the M1 port also. Things tend to turn off for no apparent reason.

I have done all of the above to no avail.
I am not blaming the cable or the OS, just trying to find if anybody has dealt with this before and if there is a solution to it.
On my htpc i have two sata hard drives one running Vista and the other running Windows MCE. If i unplug the Vista hard drive and run MCE i do not get any picture also.
I have tried all the settings on my projector to no avail.
I called Infocus support and they wanted me to send the Projector in for repairs because they think the M1-DA connector has gone bad.
I think it has something to do with the video card or the settings on my projector.
Still looking for help. thanks
