Onkyo TX-SR875 Receiver
Klipsch RF-63s L/R
Klipsch RC-62 C
Klipsch RS-42 BL/BR

Room is about 17' x 23' and I was hoping to keep the budget at about ~$400-700 unless there is a hugely compelling reason to go higher. I'm pretty new at this so I probably lack the descriptors to precisely describe the qualities I'm looking for, but: detail and depth over raw, floor thumping power. Something responsive and precise... a lack of muddiness that fills out the very low lows and takes the heat off the RF-63s. Something that really complements the Klipschs while reaching lower than their own subs seem to. I'm open to all manor of guidance. :) Listening probably evenly split between movies, gaming and music; largely rock (The Who, 'Floyd, PJ Harvey, Garbage) at less than ear-splitting volumes.

The HSU VTF-3 MK3 should fit the bill better than anything in your budget especially if you listen to music. Clean bass with plenty of low extension and output.

According to your room size depeding on ceiling height and if it's open to any other rooms the VTF2-2 MK3 should also fit the bill and lower in your budget range but my feeling between the these two is bigger is always better if you can swing it.

Thanks Jakeman, I was leaning towards the Hsus. In the absence of alternate suggestions and with the general consensus here about them, I think I'll go with the 3 Mk. III.
