My Cambridge Soundworks 12s just fried. :(
Loud Hum (even when switched off and no line input) and smell of burnt electronics.

I can repair via Cambridge for $65 plus approx $25 shipping = $90

I liked the Cambridge 12s very much, and I'm not looking to Spend $1000 so is it worth the repair costs, or is there a great $250 sub I should be considering?

I wouldn't but if you like the sub you won't get anything else you like for $90.

I'd save a little longer and go with the Bic H-100 around $200 or the ED A2-300 at $300 both of those are better quality subs and the ED is an amazing deal if you can get past the bed liner type finish ed uses.

If you dont like the finish on the eD's, you cna get it unpainted for $50 less if I'm not mistaken and paint/finish it your self.

Two fity!!!According to the DIYselfers you can get four sub,one for each corner :) that can beat anything out there!

So maybe that's your best bet, getting a sub kit!
