Sometimes it's only 5.1 DD or DTS. Sometimes it does contain 5.1 DVD-A tracks. But I don't think your PS3 can read DVD-A tracks. The DVD side doesn't even always contain surround sound material. The DVD side will often contain some video, too.

However DTS is not lossless If you can see DTS 5.1 track on DualDisc that can be as good as SACD experience on PS3.
But not all DualDisc produced well in 5.1 compare to SACD's and DVD-A's.
I would try also DTS Music Disc's.
They will play right away on PS3 just like SACD's
If you are into Electronic Music I would recommend this one:
SPATIAL DINAMIX (http://www.surroundmagic.com/Default.aspx?TabID=134&TabIDOrig=36&ProductID=176&categoryid=28&langID=0&CurrPage=1&Search=&SearchCurrPage=1)
that will blow your mind away.

It seem like it was scraping or something, I heard a weird noise
This was like a year ago or so!

Hey there Kenny, there's a lot of music on SACD...mostly available through the internet. Jazz and classical are the two most popular styles for this format.

Yeah I just thought it was too thick, if there is such a thing!

It's the Diana Krall the Girl in the Other Room...Which i have the SACD version as well..Hmm.

My now sold Denon 2900 played my Brothers In Arms, and Downward Spiral just fine. They also play fine[cd side] in my old trusty Elite PD-54 cd player. Yes these discs are thicker then the norm.

I just thought it was too thickAnd you were correct.

DualDiscs are thicker than standard CDs, so they don't conform the the Redbook standard. Notice that even though one side may seem similar to the typical compact disc, it is not allowed to carry the CD-DA (Compact Disc - Digital Audio) logo you see on all regular CDs.

The added thickness usually isn't a problem unless you're using a slot-loaded player.

I had read something about the dualdisk format being deader (and I do mean deadER) than dvd-a--still some niche stuff coming out on sacd and dvda--are there a lot of new releases planned? with regard to dualdisk and denon-all the ones play fine on my 5910--bela fleck, fiona apple, joe perry, ac/dc, and some others.
