I have Paradigm monitor 7's, CC-250, and PS-1000 sub. I just recently upgraded to an Onkyo 805 receiver/amp.

In installing the amp I realized I should calibrate my sub but I do not know how. Phase, hz, and level knobs and no knowledge of how to use them. Is this the appropriate place to ask or might you know of a site that will inform me. I found nothing at Paradigms site.

That being said, I have now come here to this thread, for the first time, and after some reading I'm wondering if there an alternative that makes it worth it to upgrade to. I have enjoyed my PS-1000, but can it done with a cap of around $500-600?

Advice is appreciated!

If you end up going the AVIA route (AVIA is a calibration DVD for your system, you still need the SPL meter and tripod is recommended), there's test tones and polarity tests on the discs as well. It has good directions on how to use the disc, if you have some equipment knowledge. If you have a question, just ask others on this forum.
